Apple MacBook Air M2 is available at $999 on Amazon as part of a new deal. Here are all the details.
Earlier this year, Apple announced the MacBook Air 2022 with the new M2 chipset. Flaunting a new design and a bigger display, the MacBook Air M2 variant becomes a much better laptop to live with. However, it had a starting price of $1199 for the base 256GB variant, and Apple continues to ask the same price on its store. However, if you are looking to save a substantial amount on this laptop, Amazon and B&H Photo are offering the laptop at a much lower price.
The Apple MacBook Air M2 in its base avatar with 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and M2 chip, is available at a price of $999 on Amazon and B&H Photo. Note that the MacBook Air M2 on Amazon is only available in the Starlight variant, while other colours are either unavailable, or selling for the original price. This is a rare deal for the laptop that usually costs above $1000.
MacBook Air M2 available at lower price
The MacBook Air M2 2022 version offers mega improvements in key areas such as display, ports, performance, and charging. The laptop features a new 13.6-inch IPS LCD display that offers higher brightness than the older model. The slimmer bezels on the top along with a iPhone-style notch allows for a larger canvas, and a 1080p webcam sits in the notch.
Not sure which
laptop to buy?
Similar to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, the 2022 MacBook Air M2 gets the MagSafe charging port. However, users only get two USB-C ports for data transfer as well as charging; no SD card slot, HDMI and USB-A ports.
The M2 chip is a minor improvement over the M1 chip, offering slight raw performance boosts as well as better efficiency. That said, the real world performance is similar to the M1 MacBook Air, and so its battery stamina performance.
On the other hand, leaks suggest that the 2024 MacBook Air could make use of an OLED display having a higher refresh rate of 120Hz.
